Sorry for our absence on the blog. We have been B U S Y getting ready for Nigeria!! That leads me to the first reason for this post.
Please pray for Bryan, Nathan, & Jordan as we are in Nigeria, May 11-20.
The purpose of this trip is to spend time in training with 13 Nigerian church-planters, and then to visit at least two unreached villages where they are intending to evangelize and start new churches. Nathan will be teaching the doctrine of God and salvation, Bryan will teach biblical theology, and Jordan will teach Christ-centeredness in the local church along with essentials of church health. Thank you for your prayers for us, and for our families as we are away.
Sunday, May 18th at Grace.
The elders are delighted that Anthony Mathenia is scheduled to preach at Grace on May 18. Many of you already know Anthony, and others will be blessed to get to know him for the first time. Your prayers for him, and for your own soul’s preparation, would be advantageous to everyone in attendance! Be there!!
Mother’s Day: Two Important Expressions of the Gospel
- The “A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund”: A new expression of the vision and mission of Grace Church
Grace’s “Adoption Magnifies the Beauty of Eternal Redemption Adoption Fund” will officially kick-off tomorrow, Mother’s Day, 2008. Beginning with Pastor Nathan’s Sanctity of Life sermon in January ‘08, Grace has been in preparations for establishing a more intentional effort of being involved in displaying the beauty of the gospel through encouraging adoption.
Named in honor of Amber Mathenia, a wife and mother of two adopted children, who went home to be with the Lord in January 2008, the A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund will seek to encourage and assist families who are pursuing adoption.
- The Gospel Call
Pastor Bryan will be preaching from Titus 3:3-7 in tomorrow’s service at Grace. This sermon has been scheduled for many months in the hope that God will graciously save souls and change lives during tomorrow’s service. Please join us in praying to that end.
Soli Deo Gloria!

Praying for you guys. I pray that your time in Nigeria is God filled. I love the AMBER fund, that is truly awesome. Keep up the great work. God Bless You.
